Campaign This campaign stems from work done by the ACE
Level Bust Project Group, a multi-disciplinary team tasked with
examining the problems and finding solutions to the problem of Level
Busts.
The purpose of this campaign is to raise
awareness in the aviation community of the safety implications of
Level Busts and the potential they have to cause accidents.
The overriding objective of the campaign is to reduce the number of
Level Busts which result in a loss of standard separation. Standard
separation is generally 1000ft vertically or a number of nautical miles
laterally, dependent on position and height – generally 3 or 5 miles.
